Who we are?
AFALR is an Albanian foundation to help and support the lives of the injured and ailing refugees and support their respective host communities who were residents of Ashraf and Liberty, coming to Albania under the agreement of the UN and Albanian government.
Many of the board members are recovered victims of torture and political prisoners who were forced to flee their homeland as refugees and settled in Albania and other European countries.
AFALR believes ongoing team effort is required to return a sense of dignity to victims of human rights violations in addition to restoring their physical and mental well-being.AFALR aims be a catalyst for positive change. Founded in 2013, we’ve been driven by the same ideas to: support, empower, and build bridges between refugees and their host communities. “Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see”
Hope Is Where the Heart Is
AFALR wants to spread our message of hope and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our team works tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the greater good.
Our mission
AFALR provides aid and support for both refugees and the communities hosting these refugees. Given the human right violations, particularly, there has been an influx of refugees to Albania, country who have limited resources even for their own citizens. AFALR aims to ensure the aid reaches these communities as well.
AFALR is committed to providing necessities for the victims of human rights violations of Iran.
AFALR is a Non-profit organization recognized by the Albanian government
